At Morris Legal and Tax LLC, our clients receive great value because we provide exceptional service for reasonable costs. Although lawyers traditionally charge by the hour for their services, we have found that most clients do not see the value in a lawyer’s time, but instead see the value in the service that is provided, whether it is the preparation of a tax return, the preparation of estate planning documents, or simply good legal advice. For this reason, we generally charge a flat fee for our services.
Flat Rate: As discussed above, whenever possible, we will quote a flat, guaranteed fee. Every case is unique and requires a custom solution, therefore the pricing is unique to each client, as well. After meeting with you to determine the scope of your case, we are able to guarantee a flat fee for most services.
The prices listed below are guidelines only and are provided here to give you a general sense of what our price range is. The amount of time and expertise that is required for each situation differs based on the client’s circumstances, the complexity of the case, and the amount of time that will be expended on the case. Therefore, we will not give a firm price quote until we have had an initial consultation with the client to determine the scope of the work.
$1,800 Typical Family plan pair of Wills (everything to spouse at first death, trust for kids at second death). Includes POAs and Healthcare Directives.
$1,500 Single Person Will (trust for kids). Includes POA and Healthcare Directive.
$1,200 Simple Will (no trusts). Includes POA and Healthcare Directives.
$2,800 Typical Family Revocable Trust package, whether trust for each parent or joint trust for both. (property to surviving spouse at first death, remains in trust for kids at second death). Includes Pour-Over Wills, POAs, Healthcare Directive, and real estate deed for primary residence. $250 for each additional real estate deed into trust.
$2,200 Single Person Revocable Trust package (remains in trust for kids). Includes Pour-Over Will, POA, Healthcare Directive, and real estate deed for primary residence. $250 for each additional real estate deed.
$1,000 Establishment of LLC for rental property. Includes filing fees, one deed of real estate, EIN registration, LLC Operating Agreement. Increased fee for multiple owners.
$1,000 Establishment of LLC for S Corporation. Includes filing fees, EIN registration, LLC Operating Agreement, S corp election, assistance with establishing payroll including registering with state DOR for withholding and DOL. Increased fee for multiple owners.
$1,000 Minimum Annual Tax Representation – Includes preparing and filing tax returns from previous calendar year, tax planning/consulting throughout the calendar year, audit representation for returns that we have filed.
$1,500 Minimum Personal and S Corporation Tax Representation – Includes preparing and filing personal and business tax returns from previous calendar year, tax planning/consulting throughout the calendar year, audit representation for returns that we have filed.
$5,500 501(c)(3) Creation – Includes all incorporation paperwork and filing, EIN registration, IRS application for 501(c)(3) status, and all filing fees. If you expect to raise less than $50,000 each year for the first 3 years of the non-profit’s existence, the fee is only $3,500 as it calls for a shorter IRS application and lower application fee to the IRS.
